Welcome! As a new member in CAREINGTON's best discount dental plan (CARE 500 Series),
you will receive your new Membership packet and ID card in about 10 days.
You do not need to wait for your ID Card by mail to start using your dental plan immediately. (See below for how to have your membership verified by the dental office ASAP.)
After enrolling here online, within moments you will receive a temporary dental plan ID via e-mail. Print this ID and take (along with a picture ID) to your first dental office visit. On this temporary ID is a "Member Verification" telephone number, should the dental office wish to call to verify your new dental plan membership.
Fast Start Tip 1. When making your first appointment with a plan Dentist, verify that the dental office is a current CAREINGTON Dental Plan provider.
Fast Start Tip 2. Let the dental office know that you have joined the CAREINGTON Plan "CARE 500 Series." This is important, because this plan offers the greatest savings. (The CARE "500 Series" varies by state, 501, 502, 503, etc., based on regional cost-of-living and other factors.)
Important. We suggest you print a copy of the full Schedule of Discounts for your State and take it with you on your first visit. Be sure you are being billed properly, because this is CAREINGTON's best discount dental plan for your State.
Checklist... (1) temporary e-mail ID, (2) schedule of discounts, (3) any picture ID.
After joining, your member information may take a few days to appear in the CAREINGTON Member Service computer system. However, if you wish to see a dentist ASAP (and you are able to obtain an appointment), here is how to immediately verify your membership.
If You Joined Securely Online...
After enrolling online, you will receive a temporary dental plan ID by email within minutes. Print this email and take it with you on your first appointment. This ID e-mail contains instructions and a temporary verification telephone number. The dental office can now immediately verify your new membership by calling this number.
If You Joined By Fax or Regular Mail...
Once your application and payment are received, you should receive a temporary dental plan ID by email. If you do not have an e-mail address, we will mail a copy of the temporary ID
What happens next: In 2 to 4 business days, your new member information will be uploaded into the main CAREINGTON Member Service computer system. Your printed Membership material should arrive by mail in about 10 days.
Vision & Rx Plans: You may start using the Vision Plan (included) and Prescription Plan (optional) once your ID cards arrive via mail.
